Planning ahead is more a skill than an art. When you follow any well laid out plan, you increase your success rate by ensuing you are equipped to complete the goal. When Jesus sent the Disciples into the world, He equipped them with the necessary power to minister to the lost. Similarly, Jesus has equipped us with the necessary power to finish our race.

Progress will happen in your life when you put a premium of learning and acting on the Word of God. There is not anything that can take the place of your time studying the Word.

Matthew 16:19 NLT
(19) And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.”

it is essential to life to plan ahead. Every plan that you make should be prayed over and confirmed by the Holy Spirit.

Psa 37:5
(5) Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust Him, and He will help you.

I came across this question a number of times in the recent weeks. It is a question that you can you to refocus yourself and check your motives and attitudes. Remember, Christianity is not the Boy Scouts – souls are at stake. We need to be listening to the Holy Spirit so that we are where we are supposed to be (we call these Divine Appointments) to minister when He needs us to. And now, the question:

If God is God and He loves you, then the question is not that He loves you, rather how much to you love Him?

Take some time over the Christmas and New Year’s season to reflect on 2008 and to plan and prepare for 2009.
