This past weekend we celebrated the Resurrection of our Lord and Saviour – Jesus. Upon reflecting about the fact that one man changed history so completely, I know He did it for all of us. Even if there was just one of us, He would have made that same sacrifice. Jesus told us as much:

Luke 15:1-7 NLT
(1) Tax collectors and other notorious sinners often came to listen to Jesus teach.
(2) This made the Pharisees and teachers of religious law complain that He was associating with such sinful people—even eating with them!
(3) So Jesus told them this story:
(4) “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it?
(5) And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders.
(6) When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’
(7) In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!

Are you the one that Jesus died for? Perhaps you are the one who has been on the sideline scoffing. The power of the Resurrection is all based on the love that God has for each of us. He, like any good father, does not like seeing His childen lost and wandering in the darkness, when they could be living a much higher life in His light (read illumination, wisdom, how to and the answer to why).

If you have never experienced the love that God has for you or if you have experienced it but returned to the “comfort” of the darkness (read “I don’t know what to do” or Why am I…), you can know His love today. It is your choice whether you value Jesus, who was crucified, died and rose again. It is your choice to live at a much higher level than you are now. The Bible tells how simple it is to receive everything that Jesus offers:

Romans 10:9-10 NLT
(9) If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
(10) For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.

Simple faith – believe it with your heart. Simple words – “Jesus save me.” Receive His love. If you don’t have a Bible, go to biblegateway.com or youversion.com. Read the Gospel of John and his letters 1st, 2nd and 3rd John. Let them paint a picture of how much Jesus, your Lord and Saviour, loves you. After all, He was only doing what God, our Heavenly Father showed Him to do. One man changed everything. He valued every “one.”

When we examine the life of Joseph, we find that Joseph made the decision to believe God. This is the most critical desion that anyone can make. Once Joseph made his decision, he stuck with it despite all the negative circumstances that he landed in. Sticking with this decision allowed Joseph to excel in both [...]
The Value of One is a post from: @MinistryGeek.com
