This entry is part 5 of 7 in the series The Word of The Lord

Dreams are defined as a series of images that usually occur when you are sleeping. God-given dreams should be acted upon. The first action linked to a God-given dream is to prophecy or to give it voice. The second action is to record it so you can continue to give your dreams an accurate voice.

G.R.A.P.E.s – Power

This entry is part 5 of 7 in the series The Word of The Lord

We often think of power as something we use until it is gone. Power has been given to us, but you need to act with your abilities. If you want to act on the Word of God then you need to make the Word of God part of your core values and beliefs by studying it and acting on the revelation that you find.

G.R.A.P.E.s – Creativity

This entry is part 5 of 7 in the series The Word of The Lord

God has given us the ability to be creative. What we can create in life is determined by the amount of action we take based on the Word of God.

Genesis 30:31-43 NLT
(31) “What wages do you want?” Laban asked again. Jacob replied, “Don’t give me anything. Just do this one thing, and I’ll continue to tend and watch over your flocks.
(32) Let me inspect your flocks today and remove all the sheep and goats that are speckled or spotted, along with all the black sheep. Give these to me as my wages.
(33) In the future, when you check on the animals you have given me as my wages, you’ll see that I have been honest. If you find in my flock any goats without speckles or spots, or any sheep that are not black, you will know that I have stolen them from you.”
(34) “All right,” Laban replied. “It will be as you say.”
(35) But that very day Laban went out and removed the male goats that were streaked and spotted, all the female goats that were speckled and spotted or had white patches, and all the black sheep. He placed them in the care of his own sons,
(36) who took them a three-days’ journey from where Jacob was. Meanwhile, Jacob stayed and cared for the rest of Laban’s flock.
(37) Then Jacob took some fresh branches from poplar, almond, and plane trees and peeled off strips of bark, making white streaks on them.
(38) Then he placed these peeled branches in the watering troughs where the flocks came to drink, for that was where they mated.
(39) And when they mated in front of the white-streaked branches, they gave birth to young that were streaked, speckled, and spotted.
(40) Jacob separated those lambs from Laban’s flock. And at mating time he turned the flock to face Laban’s animals that were streaked or black. This is how he built his own flock instead of increasing Laban’s.
(41) Whenever the stronger females were ready to mate, Jacob would place the peeled branches in the watering troughs in front of them. Then they would mate in front of the branches.
(42) But he didn’t do this with the weaker ones, so the weaker lambs belonged to Laban, and the stronger ones were Jacob’s.
(43) As a result, Jacob became very wealthy, with large flocks of sheep and goats, male and female servants, and many camels and donkeys.

Winning is Action

This entry is part 5 of 7 in the series The Word of The Lord

Kent Austin, coached the Saskatchewan Roughriders for one season. Prior to his departure, he said something to the press about why his players were rising to the challenges of contending for a Grey Cup. Coach Austin stated:

“What’s the point of playing if you don’t believe? There’s a difference in faith and belief. Belief requires action. And if you’re gonna play to win, you need to talk differently, walk differently, act differently, practice differently, prepare differently. And you gotta back it up with your actions . ”

Action is often the missing ingredient in success because people expect that God will do everything for them. In fact, God is waiting for them to act in and on their faith so that the purposeful action they take can yield results. Remeber, James said:

James 1:22-25 NLT
(22) But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.
(23) For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror.
(24) You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like.
(25) But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.
